Dr. Robert Hesselgesser, Dr. Paul Miller, and Dr. Eugene Ahn lead the qualified and compassionate team of cancer care professionals at Westlake Village Radiation Oncology Center. Dr. Hesselgesser is a specialist in radioactive implants with high and low dose rate Iridium-192, and has lectured internationally on the topic, including its use in lung, brain and nasopharyngeal tumors. Dr. Miller previously held the position of principal investigator at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks for the Southwest Oncology Group, a national cancer research organization funded by the National Cancer Institute, in cooperation with UCLA. Dr. Ahn has a particular interest in stereotactice radiosurgery, and is the Medical Director of the Los Robles Gamma Knife Center in Thousand Oaks.The Westlake Village Radiation Oncology treatment team offers a full range of advanced treatment options, including Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), and 3D Radiation Treatment Planning, as well as a Topex Superficial 100/70 kVp unit. The physicians and their treatment team are active in Radiation Oncology treatment research and education, leading outreach efforts and cancer prevention initiatives in the Westlake Village community.
