Dylan Conroy, M.D.

Dr. Conroy was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, where he graduated summa cum laude from Canisius College with a B.S. in biology. He went on to receive his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. During medical school, he co-founded a music and medicine group with his future wife, playing music for pediatric patients in the hospital.

 

Dr. Conroy remained in Washington, DC to complete his residency in Radiation Oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. During his training, he gained experience across myriad radiotherapy techniques, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and brachytherapy for prostate and gynecologic malignancies. He is an active member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He has researched and published on prostate cancer, SBRT, and radiosurgery.

 

Dr. Conroy enjoys golfing, hiking, and spending quality time with his wife, their dog, and their cats. He also enjoys playing music and attending concerts. As a native of Buffalo, he is a passionate Buffalo Bills fan, proudly supporting his hometown team. Dr. Conroy is an enthusiastic gardener and looks forward to putting down his roots in the Central Coast community.

 

Dr. Conroy practices at Lompoc Radiation Oncology Center in Lompoc, CA and Mission Hope Cancer Center in Santa Maria, CA. His philosophy of care stems from the Jesuit teachings of cura personalis, or "care for the whole person," emphasizing individualized attention and holistic care for his patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
