Dr. Ben Wilkinson, Dr. Jonathan Van Wickle, and Dr. Dylan Conroy lead the qualified and dedicated team of cancer treatment professionals at Coastal Radiation Oncology’s Mission Hope Cancer Center site in Santa Maria. Dr. Ben Wilkinson is a board-certified radiation oncologist specializing in the treatment of all cancers including prostate, breast, lung, and brain tumors. He and his wife, Laurin, grew up in San Diego. After graduating high school, Dr. Wilkinson attended college at Texas Christian University and then medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He completed his intern year at University of Maryland, followed by residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.

Dr. Van Wickle is a Central Coast native, born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. He received his MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed Radiation Oncology residency at the University of Iowa. He is grateful to return home to the Central Coast to provide outstanding care for his patients. His focus as a radiation oncologist is on optimizing patient outcomes by delivering high-quality, evidence-based care taking each patient’s unique needs into account.

Dr. Conroy remained in Washington, DC to complete his residency in Radiation Oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. During his training, he gained experience across myriad radiotherapy techniques, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and brachytherapy for prostate and gynecologic malignancies.
