Bio

Lauren Tait, M.D.

Dr. Tait graduated magna cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California with her degree in biology. After receiving her MD in allopathic medicine from the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Tait completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she was recognized as the outstanding intern of the year. She completed radiation oncology residencies at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and the University of California, Davis where she served as Chief Resident.

 

Dr. Tait is board-certified in radiation oncology and is a member of the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). She has experience in a variety of radiotherapy techniques including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies. She has published several peer-reviewed articles and presented her research findings at numerous society meetings. Some of her early research focused on women’s cancer issues including brachytherapy for locally advanced cervical cancer, as well as cardiac toxicity following chemoradiation therapy for esophageal carcinoma. In addition, Dr. Tait has studied small cell and non-small cell lung cancers, and cancers of the head and neck.

 

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Tait is delighted to settle in the Central Coast of California. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors exploring the region and is an avid dog lover.

 

Dr. Tait practices at Coastal Radiation Oncology Group’s Templeton Radiation Oncology Center located in Templeton, California.
